shojono tomo: experience & flea market art workshop photos, tokyo, japan

Yesterday saw the close of the Experience & Flea Market Art Workshop in which Shojono Tomo participated with a fashion exhibition. Her space included brand new items for sale, looks comissioned by Hasbro and My Little Pony, stage wear by Nicki Minaj.  However, most important to her were new pieces from her ongoing conceptual project called Skinship Barney. (Learn more about this project in this short film by Tokyofashion.com.)  Skinship Barney encourages closeness between friends and strangers, seperated by our growing online society.  In a workshop and live painting, held on April 7th, Shojono Tomo invited others to learn how she makes these unique items. The results can be seen in the photos below, courtesy toomarky.
