shojono tomo: diy custom pony for my little pony project reveal

The concept behind Shojono Tomo's My Little Pony Project pony is something like a transformer. Tomo adorned her pony with plastic toys including a bulldozer representing a unicorn's horn, curlers and legoes as wings, and a trail of items in her tail. Painted onto her body is a ballerina dancer and large anime eyes. Nicknamed "Child Play", an idea often explored in Shojono Tomo's work, her pony's accessories are mobile making her an interactive piece of art. Shojono Tomo also created a 1-of edition print. To see all of the ponies, artwork, and progress photos, visit Sweet Streets facebook. My Little Pony Project opens tomorrow, Saturday May 5th at Toy Art Gallery.

Artist ponies and artwork will be sold at Toy Art Gallery.

Select product will be sold at Mighty Fine.
